February 25, 2019, 10:00 AM - 10:30 AM @ Jones Public Library Children's Area
The goal of baby storytime is to encourage early literacy in babies. We will spend time playing with baby; singing songs, and playing with bells, scarves, and the parachute. We will implement finger plays to work on gross and fine motor skill development, learn one new baby sign each week, and learn how to “read” with your baby at this age. We will end storytime each day with a book I have chosen to read to the group. We envision this group to be a place for our infant mothers to bring baby and socialize them, as well as being able to socialize with other new moms. We look forward to serving you with this exciting new program!
February 27, 2019, 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM
Today we will be learning about the importance of self esteem! We will read a book about a pair of siblings who like themselves when they are happy and doing well, and when they are sad or had a bad day. They will teach us an important lesson about being your own friend, and liking yourself no matter what! For our craft we will make a blooming flower to remind ourselves that self esteem can make us bloom!
