Utility Billing
Utility bills can be paid:
- Online at DaytonTX.org (Credit or debit only)
- The kiosk located outside of City Hall (117 Cook St.). The kiosk accepts credit and debit cards, checks, and cash. As a precaution, we ask residents to please pay with credit or debit cards if possible rather than cash. While we are still accepting cash, our employees have additional sanitation requirements for cash payments. All kiosk fees and late penalties have been waived).
- The City has suspended all water cutoffs until July 14.
Police Department/Public Safety
- For an actual emergency call 9-1-1
- All essential functions remain operational. (Business as usual)
- Lobby open
- If you are uncomfortable coming in, call 936-258-7621 from the parking lot and an officer will come out to you.
- Animal control operations have resumed.
City Hall
This includes City Administration, Human Resources, Public Communications, Finance, and Utility Billing.
- Offices are closed to walk-in traffic.
- Face-to-face business conducted by appointment.

Community Center
Includes the Senior Center, the Jones Public Library, the Dayton Community Development Center and the Dayton Chamber of Commerce
- The Community Center is open only for private rentals, City-sponsored events, and as an Early Voting location. Occupancy restrictions limit functions to no more than 50 people.
Dayton Community Development Corporation
- Offices are closed to the public.

Development and Planning Services
- Offices are closed to the public, however, digitally submitted plans and documents are requested.
- To schedule an inspection or to submit plans or request a permit, visit the online Planning office, email planning@daytontx.org or by phone at 936-258-2642 ext. 1123.
EMS (Allegiance Mobile Health)

- Reminder - Emergency medical services are reserved for valid medical emergencies and not for general transport for doctor’s appointments or non-emergency related medical situations.

- Library Books: You can renew your books by calling the library or renewing online with your library card.
